Woohoo! Zoe is about to undergo her LAST week of Block 2 of her
chemotherapy treatment against Leukaemia.

This week ahead consists of; a blood test Tuesday to check on her
blood counts and a Clinic appointment to meet with Dr's on her
progress and to discuss the next protocol ahead; and Thursday will be
a very hard day with a chemotherapy drug called Cyclophosphamide
(Cyclo as it's shortened to). This drug is so intense that they have
to hydrate Zoe with fluids an hour prior and for four hours after
being given this one drug. This drug makes Zoe extremely unwell for up
to three days after with a "normal" side effect of vomiting :(

Having been up here in Sydney for around 11 weeks, away from our
family, friends, our home and our normal life, we are really looking
forward to this particular week as it means we get to finally come
home for a 15 days!!! We get a complete break for these 15 days!!! How
wonderful this is going to feel!

Zoe will commence Block 3 of her treatment after a blood test in Wagga
to confirm her counts are good enough to procede with "Protocol M"
back in Sydney. Once given the go ahead from the blood test results,
its a immediate trip back to Sydney that day, with a Bone Marrow
Asperate to be preformed the day after.

Protocol M consists of four sessions of high dosage methatrexate into
her port. This high doses require a strict ward stay of four days.
After these four days we get to come home for 10 days to Wagga and
then repeat this cycle for 4 sessions.

For now we are concentrating on the week ahead with a smile on our
faces and hope in hearts that all goes to plan this time and we can
come "HOME"
