Zoe gave us a scare when she went in for her Lumbar Puncture on the first day of this third session. She ended up vomiting when she was under and had the emergency alarms set off and all staff rush to her operating room!!! They acted quickly by stabilising her again and she was on her way with treatment. While under they give her also a injection of Methetrexate into her spine. She also gained a cannula in her arm as her port will not "draw back" drawing blood back for testing is very important during the whole process - they will look further into this later, for now the cannula allowed them to get the blood they needed. (although Zoe was not impressed with a n extra cord! But took it in her stride anyhow).

Zoe was discharged from hospital today and is now back at Ronald MacDonald House Randwick where she will rest until her long journey home to Wagga 5hrs) tomorrow morning.

She has been placed on a stronger medication for nausea also to help her with the trip home. (she is getting too used to the meds and because of this they have to find one that is more affective for her more frequently).

Zoe is going to try to get to the LAKE TO LAGOON run in support of the local blood bank on Sunday 11 September at Wagga's Lake Albert. We wanted to be a face of the recipient of blood, such a life saving gift, that our family is so grateful for, without blood Zoe would not be with us today or be able to continue in the future with Chemotherapy for her fight against cancer.
